Questions to ask yourself

 
 

  • First, you should consider the items you will be storing. If storing valuable or higher priced items, you may prefer to purchase a new container versus a used container for items such as gardening tools.

  • Doors on both sides allows for better access to the interior. For larger item, this will allow you to move more easily within.

  • Make sure that you have at least twice the length of the container for the delivery. The unit will likely be slid off of the back of the truck, so be sure to know which end of the container you want to open. This is called DOF or DOL (door off first or door off last).

  • Be sure to have the area leveled, free of debris and overhanging trees. When placing the unit on dirt or grass, it is recommended to use wooden blocks or cement at the corners of the unit, as the unit may settle into the ground.
